Nicole Newman is the founder and creative force behind O–Live! Theatre, known for her bold, faith-based storytelling and transformative productions. With over 25 years of experience in the performing arts, she has written, directed, and produced a wide range of original stage plays that reflect the heart of faith, family, and personal growth.

Nicole began her creative journey in 1992 as a church drama director, later launching her own theater company in 2000. In 2011, she opened a community theater in Phoenix’s West Valley—fulfilling her dream to create space for diverse stories and voices in the Christian arts. A multi-talented artist of African American and Latin descent, she is one of Arizona’s leading female playwrights in the Christian entertainment industry.

Her original productions—such as Holiday Gatherings, Summer Raine, Another Cinderella Story, and Esther’s Journey—have captivated audiences and elevated conversations around faith and transformation.

In 2015, Nicole founded the Church Stars Network, a digital TV and mobile app platform that showcased Christian entertainers across theater, comedy, reality shows, and documentaries. The network helped unite faith-based creatives nationwide.

Now stepping into the literary world, Nicole has adapted her stage plays into fiction. Her debut novel, The Franklins: A Family Saga, brings her beloved characters from Holiday Gatherings to life on the page. She also created a reflective companion journal, Faith Through Fiction, and released an audiobook version to meet readers in every season of life.

Nicole continues to inspire through books, theater, and digital media—reminding dreamers everywhere that even when one curtain closes, another is waiting to rise.
